WEST HAM ‘SHOW INTEREST’ IN MOVE FOR MAN UTD’S HARRY MAGUIRE
West Ham are said to be interested in a loan move for out-of-favour Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
That’s according to a report in the Mirror, which suggests the Hammers are looking at replacements for Craig Dawson, who has been heavily linked with a move to Wolves.
Maguire joined Man Utd from Leicester in 2019, his £80m fee making him the world’s most expensive defender in the history of the game.
Though he remains a regular for England, Maguire has fallen behind Rafaël Varane and Lisandro Martínez in the pecking order at Old Trafford this season, with left-back Luke Shaw even preferred in the centre-back role for recent matches.
The other alternative for West Ham is reportedly Formose Mendy of Amiens, but the club have already seen a £7m offer for the Senegalese international rejected.
