A vintage mid-century wonder! This Lesco bag is from the 1950s. According to the tag, this is pre-merger with Lona as Lesco is the only name on the tag. They merged in 1960 so that dates this to pre-1960 (due to the style I believe this is probably mid to late ’50s and closely resembles some 1960s bags). Lesco formed in the 1940s, but I don’t think this is that old. There is no content information but I do believe this is vinyl. I have seen some past listings where people said this was patent leather but I don’t believe that to be true. It is a beautiful herringbone weave and is actually in pretty amazing condition. There is some wear and spotting to the hardware, commiserate with age. The color is navy blue and the vinyl is actually in great shape! The interior is navy blue as well with an inner pocket in white. I have taken photos in average room light and with a flash so you can get a true sense of the color and detail.
