Tottenham have finally completed the signing of Pedro Porro from Sporting.
The transfer saga for the Spaniard is over as he moves to north London on an initial loan deal with Spurs having an obligation to make the deal permanent for a reported fee of around £39m.
The 23-year-old defender has been linked with a move to the club throughout the January transfer window but the deal was off as recent as Monday when Sporting reportedly went back on the deal.
Itâs thought that the North London club will make structured payments towards the ÂŁ39m fee which represents the playerâs release clause, which will see Porro become a permanent member of the squad by July 1st.
Reports suggest that Spurs have also agreed to give up 15% of their sell-on clause for 24-year-old Marcus Edwards, who moved to Sporting in January 2022.
This is Tottenhamâs second capture of the January transfer window, with Arnaut Danjuma having arrived on loan from Villarreal for the rest of the season.
Porro was on the books at Manchester City between 2019 and 2022 but failed to make a senior appearance for the club, being sent out on loan to Valladolid before joining Sporting.
