There has been plenty of confusion surrounding Chelsea’s pursuit to sign Erling Haaland from Dortmund this summer, with many sources being in disagreement.
Some believe that Chelsea are yet to even make contact with Haaland’s representatives, others believe things could be further long than what is being reported right now, with Chelsea largely preferring to do business behind closed doors.
However, a top reporter and a top source of transfer news has spoken on the situation, and we should probably listen.
Julien Laurens from ESPN has been speaking on Chelsea fan Mah’s YouTube channel just today, and he says that there HAS been contact between Chelsea, Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola, and Haaland’s father Alfie.
Laurens also suggests though that if Chelsea fork out the £150m needed to sign Haaland, then it is very unlikely they will be able to sign any of their other targets this summer.
So it would be a case of Haaland alone, or a cheaper striker target and then still land your other targets as well.
