Werner thought he had scored a vital goal for the Blues to get them back into their must-win clash with Aston Villa on Sunday before it was ruled out for César Azpilicueta being offside in the build-up.
It’s the 14th time the 25-year-old has had a goal ruled out for offside or due to a VAR decision this season.
