Gareth Southgate has confirmed that Phil Foden could miss Sunday’s Euro 2020 final against Italy with a foot injury.
Foden was not involved in England’s open training session on grass on Saturday, sitting out as a precaution due to a “minor knock”.
Despite undergoing an individual gym session, Southgate admits the 21-year-old remains a doubt for Wembley.
“Phil’s a doubt,” he told the BBC. “We’ll have to check again but he’s got a fairly minor foot injury.
“But it’s just whether it’s going to be one that clears up in time for him to be able to take part in the game, so we’ll have to assess that again later.”
All other 25 players trained as normal for England’s final session.
