AC Milan have officially completed the signing of midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea on an initial loan deal, it has been confirmed.
A statement on the club’s official website, announced the signing of midfielder Bakayoko from Chelsea on a two-year loan, which could turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met. Bakayoko spent the 2018-19 season on loan from Chelsea with Milan and has been linked with a return in virtually every transfer window since then, and now it has finally become a reality as the 27-year-old Frenchman is back with the San Siro side.
Bakayoko completed his medical and sports fitness test on Sunday morning and signed his contract this morning. As Fabrizio Romano is reporting on Twitter, it will be a two-year loan with an option to buy set at €15m.
Bakayoko also extended contract with Chelsea until June 2024 to facilitate the deal, given that his previous contract was set to expire in June 2022 thus in theory loaning out any possible loan.
