Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is venturing into a new partnership with Japanese entertainment company KONAMI as the 29-year-old is one of the new ambassadors for Pro Evolution Soccer.
As the ambassador, Neymar will now have the task of promoting all KONAMI football games, beginning with the “eFootball PES 2021: Season Update,” which includes an appearance in the Iconic Moment Series on the MyClub mode.
“So excited to announce that I’ve partnered with KONAMI as an Official Ambassador for #PES2021 and beyond. We’ll have an iconic PES moment soon, so come and play!” Neymar tweeted.
Furthermore, the PSG forward will be one of the faces for the new PES 22, which plans to launch around September 7th, per Goal.
Neymar joins that list of high-profile ambassadors since former FC Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi and Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo also have a partnership with the company.
Other players with a partnership with KONAMI, Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, are also on board, as is Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
This deal doesn’t appear to be an exclusive image rights, so there’s no need to worry about not seeing Neymar on the EA Sports FIFA franchise.
