MILAN TURN ATTENTIONS TO FULHAM’S TOSIN ADARABIOYO IN SEARCH FOR NEW DEFENDER
The powers that be at Serie A giants Milan have identified a new target, amid the club’s ongoing search for fresh blood at the back.
The player in question is Tosin Adarabioyo. As per a report from transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan’s priority over the remaining week of the winter transfer window is to land a new central defender.
This comes amid something of a crisis in Stefano Pioli’s squad, which has seen all of Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw and Pierre Kalulu forced onto the sidelines.
The Rossoneri’s first-choice target as things stand remains Clément Lenglet, currently on loan at Premier League outfit Aston Villa from Barcelona.
Brest standout Lilian Brassier also remains very much on the radar of the San Siro brass.
But, according to Di Marzio, Adarabioyo has now too been added to Milan’s shortlist of defensive options.
First contacts have been made with the representatives of the Fulham star, to gain an understanding of the likely conditions of a deal.
The 24-year-old’s current terms at Craven Cottage are due to expire in the summer, with Geoffrey Moncada therefore open to the possibility of Adarabioyo arriving on a free transfer in the summer.
But a cut-price January cannot be ruled out, amid mounting competition for the services of the former Manchester City talent. It was previously reported that Adarabioyo was only an option for the summer, but that could change now.
