Manchester United have unveiled their third kit for the new season.
A black, blue and yellow shirt, they’re not being shy about taking inspiration from the 1990s.
“It was the decade Manchester United retook the English football throne. Ten years utterly dominated by their young superstars,” reads the adidas website.
“So we make no excuses for using the ’90s as inspiration for this third authentic jersey. Remixing a classic away kit and adding a pinch of adidas Equipment style, it oozes confidence.”
More blue than its predecessor, it’s a fine attempt at applying a twist on the past.
