ENGLAND TAKE ON IRAN TO KICK OFF WORLD CUP DAY TWO
It’s day two of the 2022 World Cup and there are three matches coming our way from Qatar today.

England v Iran
England boss Gareth Southgate has named a 4-3-3 formation with Harry Kane flanked by Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka in attack. As for Iran, star player Mehdi Taremi leads the line at the Khalifa International Stadium.
England had an early appeal for a penalty when Harry Maguire claimed appeared to be hauled down in the box at a corner, but neither the referee nor VAR were interested.
The match was then stopped for several minutes while Iran goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand received treatment after taking a blow to the face.
