Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul has spoken about his future and the possibility of a move away from the Stadio Friuli, amid links to Inter and Atletico Madrid.

De Paul spoke to British newspaper The Guardian and the question of whether he would seek a different club, with Inter and Atletico Madrid being among the clubs with which he has been linked.

However, the Nerazzurri target did not speak about the possibility of leaving Udinese out of respect for the club.

The Argentine spoke about being proud of his developments at Udinese in the Serie A, and how his game has developed at the Friuli club.

He believes that he is a better player than he was when he joined the Serie A club, and feels optimistic about his future and his own abilities.

These sentiments will make many Inter supporters excited about the prospect of potentially signing the playmaker, but he has not made any indication of desiring a future at the Nerazurri or Atletico Madrid, or any of the clubs with which he is linked.

De Paul explained:

“People talk about goals and assists but I was looking for stats on ball recoveries the other day. I’m on almost treble the first year: it was 150, it’s over 400 now.

“What I didn’t have then, now I do. So now you think: ‘OK, what’s next? What’s missing?’”

He continued:

“I was very sincere, very clear with whom I had to be clear,I said what I thought, what I want.

“I’m 27 now. I’m not going to speak anywhere else because I respect everyone at Udinese, especially the fans who really love me.”
