Harry Kane is reportedly set to have a scan on his ankle after coming off injured against Iran.
The England captain was on the receiving end of a heavy challenge early in the second half before being withdrawn in the 75th minute.
Speaking after the game, manager Gareth Southgate played down fears of an injury to England’s talismanic forward but according to The Athletic Kane will undergo a scan to determine his availability for the clash with the USA on Friday.
Kane set up two of England’s six goals on Monday as the Tottenham striker remains two goals short of Wayne Rooney’s all-time record.
