Everton have confirmed the appointment of former Liverpool manager Rafael Benítez as their new head coach.
The Toffees have been looking for a new boss since Carlo Ancelotti left Goodison Park to make a shock return to Real Madrid in May.
Their search process initially led them to former Wolves boss Nuno Espírito Santo before talks broke down, and it has now led them to a manager that led their city rivals to a Champions League title in 2005.
Benítez also won the LaLiga twice while in charge of Valencia, the Coppa Italia with Napoli and the Europa League at Chelsea.
Everton finished 10th in the Premier League last season with 59 points from their 38 games.
