Erling Haaland is closing in on setting a new Premier League goal scoring record thanks to Manchester City teammate Kevin De Bruyne.
The Norway international marked his return for the reigning champions in style by opening the scoring Saturday’s trip to Southampton from a pinpoint delivery from De Bruyne.

Haaland’s 29th goal of the season leaves him just three away from matching Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah’s haul of 32 in a 38-match campaign, but he owes a lot of it to De Bruyne.
De Bruyne, on the other hand, became only the fifth player in Premier League history to reach 100 assists but is now the quickest to achieve the feat, doing so in just 237 games.
Truly a blossoming partnership, but will it help City snatch their title away from Arsenal?
