After hours of excitement in the build-up had turned to nerves and tension at Wembley it looked like Harry Kane was destined to score the opener but Mats Hummels pulled off what must be the tackle of the tournament to deny him.
England did get their opener, and Kane got his goal too, but that takes nothing away from the sensational challenge.
