We might have been without Premier League football this weekend, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t awards to dish out.
Here are all the winners (and losers?) from the international weekend.
World Conquerers Award
It’s been some ride under Roberto Mancini for Italy, and they’ve now gone 36 games unbeaten under the European Championships-winning manager.
Moving up the Charts Award
Harry Kane is closing in on Wayne Rooney’s 53-goal record for England after hitting his 40th against Andorra on Sunday.
The Fancy a Kickabout Award
The abandonment of the Brazil v Argentina descended into utter chaos.
But the home side knew how to entertain the fans who had made the trip.
Like Father Like Son Award
Andri Gudjohnsen scored his first goal for Iceland in only his second appearance for his country on Sunday.
That’s Andri, the son of former Barcelona and Chelsea striker Eidur, keeping the family heritage going.
Back to his Best Award
There were rumours that Gareth Bale was going to retire from football after the Euros.
Welsh supporters will be thankful he didn’t after his inspired performance in the 3-2 win over Belarus.
Ton Up Award
Romelu Lukaku marked his 100th appearance for Belgium in the only way he knows how, by scoring the opener in a 3-0 win over Czech Republic.
Astonishing numbers.
Return of the Man Award
Marco Reus returned to the pitch for Germany and reminded the nation of his talents after scoring in the win over Armenia.
The Called Your Bluff Award
Yann Sommer dealt with Jorginho’s penalty like a boss, even offering a slight feign of the shoulder in the wrong direction to confuse the ‘penalty master’ before saving his spot-kick.
