Erling Haaland has discussed the speculation surrounding his future at Borussia Dortmund and admits his reported €175m valuation is ‘a lot of money for one person’.
Haaland is arguably the most sought-after talent in world football at present following his rapid rise over the past two seasons, the Norway international having scored 57 goals in just 59 appearances since signing for Dortmund in January 2020.
Each of Europe’s major clubs have been linked with his signature, with Chelsea believed to be considering a mega-money move to move ahead of next summer’s expected competition and prise the 21-year-old from the Westfalenstadion.
Haaland has now discussed the transfer talk and admits he has not spoken to his agent about a move, before insisting the quoted fees for his services are ‘a lot of money’ for one player.
“Before yesterday I haven’t talked to my agent in a month… you’ve to tell me,” he told SportBild. “But I hope they are just rumours, as €175 million would be a lot of money for one person.”
