Tolerates up to 22% alcohol but under normal conditions is used to produce 14% alcohol in just a few days. Additional shipping is $2 per 2 lbs no matter how many you buy. This is the Red Star DADY yeast repackaged by LD Carlson or BSG Handcraft (Formerly Crosby & Baker). Their new label is black with the BSG logo. Any yeast being sold that still has the Crosby label is older. I am leaving some photos of the old label attached to the listing – you can be sure this is the same yeast – only the label has changed. This is enough yeast for 500-1000 gallons of mash or sugar wash. Increase dosage for more rapid fermentation. Add directly to fermenter as mash is added or add and stir. Refrigerate after opening.
